17th Annual Literary Festival

Since 2002, Ecole Jeannine Manuel has hosted a Literary Festival at the beginning of spring. Throughout the years, we have had the honor of welcoming such names as Douglas Kennedy, Dimitir Elias Léger, Vénus Khory-Ghata, Amy Plum, and Meg Cabot, as well as the screenwriters Yvan Attal and Russ Smith, among other preeminent figures from the cultural and literary spheres.

For the 17th annual Literary Festival, which will take place on April 12th and 13th, our students will have the opportunity to meet with Nicky Singer, whose award- winning novel Feather Boy has been read by middle school readers worldwide since it was first published. Clarence Tokley and Louise Pasteau will also be hosting theater and writing workshops during the festival.

Later in the spring, Ecole Jeannine Manuel, in conjunction with the Library/CDI, will be welcoming authors Hilary Reyl, Yves Grevet and Antoine Bello for further literary events. A sign language workshop will also be given in the Library by Marie Boccasio-Herz for the 6ème classes.
